Living with Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's and the effects of a stroke
Here at Gaudium, we provide a Day Centre, one-to-one sessions and home support for adults suffering from; Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, recovering from strokes, and other vulnerable adults. We also provide support and relief to unpaid carers.
We aim to promote independent living within the home as much as possible, also enabling the pursuit of a full and interesting life. Each client is an individual and we tailor our care provision specifically to enable them, and their families, to remain supported and independent in their own home for as long as possible.
Our services are offered to private clients and clients receiving direct payments or an Individual Service Fund (ISF). Direct payments allows those eligible for social care, their carers and those who lack capacity to have access to funding toward the care and help they need.
In the first instance Social Services will undertake an assessment and advise if you require either Direct Payment or ISF. If you are awarded an ISF, your care provider is issued with a card, which your care provider will maintain. When a service has been used, the care provider will deduct the amount from your card. If you live in a care home but use our services, your care home will receive an invoice from Gaudium, and they will deduct the amount from your card.
